About Americana Journal
The music industry has changed significantly over the few decades ot two. Advancements in technology and media have created an environment wherein artists can produce creative projects at lower costs, maintaining independence and creative freedom. Additionally, social media allows artists to access their fans directly, without relying on the reach of large labels. So we decided to enter into the realm of operating our own brand and label.

One thing we want to do with this label is add an element of entertainment and depth to the brand. We don't want to only put out music. We also seek out interesting, innovative, and compelling ways to allow fans deeper access to our creativity. So we also publish podcasts, videos, and we might do some writing too.
Tyler Nail:
"I've always seen myself at the helm of an arts organization of some kind. When I was in high school, I dreamed of eventually heading a production company or publishing house. But eventually the dream became to establish a label. I think we thought we would do it after working with another label for a while. But I guess we figured there's no sense in waiting for that. John and I have always balanced each other out. What each of us lacks, the other has a heavy dose of. So I couldn't imagine a better person to take this project on with."
Johnathan Loos:
"Tyler and I have collaborated on music in various ways for over a decade and realized early on how shared visions and tastes between artists can fuel creativity, even if working on solo projects. While independence is great, cutting through a saturated market is difficult working alone or with a fragmented team or suite of services. Americana Journal comes from a simple premise: there’s power in collaboration and brands built around shared values—creating one can help us, and other artists, share art more effectively and efficiently. We’re excited to see what happens when we pool efforts under one banner and invite others to do the same."
